Floyd County Animal Shelter celebrities are Dr. Courtney Turner and her daughter Rose who are with Jordy a six month female Husky who is looking for her forever home.
Dr Turner is a psychiatrist who helps those who are participating in the Floyd County Mental Illness Court. This is an alternative sentence court which seeks to address mental illness issues that had caused individuals to be charged with crimes.
Countless studies have shown that those bonding with pets have alleviated many mental illness issues- as well as allowing our four legged friends to have the opportunity to experience true human kindness.
